Studies have shown that flaxseed contains a variety of nutrients or active ingredients, such as linolenic acid, flaxseed gum, lignan, flaxseed protein, dietary fiber and so on. However, most of the components are distinctly distributed in flaxseed kernel or husk. The traditional production method is to extract linseed oil, and then use the linseed cake as animal feed or extract other substances. The advantage of this process is that it is simple to operate, but the disadvantage is that it wastes a lot of effective ingredients and increases the difficulty and cost of extraction. Therefore, for many years, in order to change the traditional production process and improve the value of comprehensive utilization of flax, many people have tried to separate the kernel and skin of flaxseed. However, due to the tight combination of the kernel and skin of flaxseed, the shape of flaxseed is irregular, which increases the difficulty of flaxseed peeling.
The flaxseed peeling method comprises the following steps:
(1) The equipment suitable for cleaning flaxseed was selected. After removing the impurities in flaxseed, the flaxseed was screened through the reciprocating vibrating long hole sieve with the width of 1.05-1.15mm;
(2) Drying (1) the cleaned flaxseed is transferred into an electric heating drying equipment and dried until the moisture content of flaxseed reaches 3.5% - 3.8% for standby;

(4) Screening: passing the peeled mixture obtained in (3) through a 12-16 mesh sieve, the screened material is a mixture of powdered flaxseed rind, and the screened material passes through a coarse grain separator or an air suction separator to separate the flaxseed rind, so as to obtain the flaxseed rind with kernel content less than 1%, The flaxseed kernel and flaxseed mixture separated by a roughing separator or an air suction separator are passed through a reciprocating vibrating long hole sieve with a sieve hole width of 0.85-0.95 mm, the screened material is the primary flaxseed kernel, and the screened flaxseed returns to step (3) for re peeling;
(5) Color selection: the flaxseed kernel obtained in (4) was selected by color sorter, and the flaxseed kernel with skin content less than 0.5% was obtained.
